01

Improve, grow, and when necessary, end relationships.

I love working with clients to create more secure, joyful, and rewarding relationships. I believe that loving – and receiving love – are something that we can all learn to do with greater ease and confidence.

  • Intimate relationships such as dating, coupling, and separation/divorce

  • Family relationships such as parent/child and siblings

  • Friendships and work relationships

02

Navigate life transitions.

Whether we seek or are forced to respond to change in our lives, challenges can accompany the process. I view transitions as invitations to knowing ourselves more deeply and to building confidence in our emotional abilities to care for ourselves, regardless of shifting external circumstances. I am especially fond of working with clients on issues related to:

  • Family formation such as infertility, birth/adoption, infant loss, and parenting adjustments

  • Developmental life stages including moving away from the family home, empty nests, aging, and death of loved ones

  • Unexpected health challenges and limitations

  • Career shifts and “life purpose” discernment

Manage the effects of trauma.

Often after moving through the immediate aftermath of a traumatic event, episode, or period in our lives with relatively few complications, we still struggle with the subtle (or not-so-subtle) ways that the experience filters almost everything we do. I will work with you to identify and manage the ongoing ways that trauma such as the following will continue to show up:

  • Childhood emotional injuries related to loss or neglect

  • Violence such as sexual and interpersonal

  • Overwhelming threats to personal safety

  • Systemic oppression related to gender, race, sexual orientation, cultural heritage, physical differences, education, or economic insecurity
